Attention PhD Students:

Applications are now open for the Winter 2024 Science to Policy Graduate Certificate Course!

UCR Science to Policy (S2P) is a campus-based organization that works to highlight and expand the roles of scientists in public policy. Over the 10-week evening/weekend course, grad students interact with policymakers and gain skills in science policy, education, advocacy, and communication to translate science into public policy or pivot to policy careers.

Applications for the Winter 2024 course are due by October 27, 2023 (application form ). PhD students from across STEM fields are welcome to apply, including from the social sciences. Strong candidates from other programs would also be considered and are encouraged to apply. 

The course is hybrid and will be held on the following dates:

  • Weekly virtual meetings
    • Wednesdays, 6pm - 7pm
  • Monthly in-person weekend intensives at UCR 
    • January 13th- 14th, 10am - 3pm
    • February 10th- 11th, 10am - 3pm 
    • March 9th- 10th, 2024, 10am - 3pm
