In partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the University of California Advocacy Network (UCAN), this exciting opportunity is open to upper-class undergraduate and graduate students in science, mathematics, and engineering disciplines to learn about science policy and advocacy. Students will participate in one day program where they will learn about:

  • Structure and organization of federal and state government
  • Budget and appropriations processes
  • Tools for effective science communication and civic engagement
  • And more about the role of science in policy-making

Thanks for joining us on Wednesday October 24, 2018

More than 70 students, faculty, and staff from UCR and other southern California universities participated!
