In partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the University of California Advocacy Network (UCAN), this exciting opportunity is open to upper-class undergraduate and graduate students in science, mathematics, and engineering disciplines to learn about science policy and advocacy. Students will participate in one day program where they will learn about:
- Structure and organization of federal and state government
- Budget and appropriations processes
- Tools for effective science communication and civic engagement
- And more about the role of science in policy-making
